A recently repaired AK that had seen very little use.
Bought this a while back as a boneyard project from a Retailer who advertised it as 'brand new customer return due to occasionally misfeeding', but failed to disclose half a dozen other issues which I've since fixed.
Repairs include:
- FPS Piston head
- FPS Cylinder head
- Prometheus Purple hop rubber and nub
- SHS Purple Short Nozzle
- SHS 15 metal tooth piston
Things to note:
- One of the receiver trunion screws was locked in tight and had been stripped by previous owner/retailer. So I had to attack it with a dremel to get it out with a flat head screwdriver. Screw is still in use but I haven't tightened it too much just to be safe. (See pictures. )
- lower handguard mount was missing its latch, and my spare CYMA one doesnt fit so I've done a ghetto fix with an m4 hex socket screw which removed any wobble and keeps it secure. (see pictures)
- wire to trigger unit had been pinched and exposed, causing the gearbox to short against the hop unit housing or the inside of the receiver, making it auto fire the moment a battery was connected. I have no experience with wiring, so I've just wrapped it in a bit of electrician's tape to protect it and 'fix' the issue. (See pictures for that.)
The AK now shoots and works in all of its tacky rattly electric blowback G&G glory but could benefit from some care, or at least a fresh barrel and hop unit as the original G&G ones are a bit shite.
Unfortunately I've no idea of the FPS due to dead chrono. Its doesn't look like its shooting low, and still uses its original factory spring.
Comes with original high-cap magazine and original box but its a little bit tatty on the edges. will be sent via ParcelForce with tracking.
