The gearbox is assembled with high-performance components to withstand the increased stresses generated by the Version 2 recoil system, featuring a reinforced body to handle the extra power required. It's made of aluminum, which is significantly stronger than traditional alloys.
The 8mm bearings are sealed, demonstrating the high level of performance this gearbox is designed for.
To improve torque transmission, the gears are helical. This is another welcome addition, as it's an upgrade that effectively manages high power levels.
The HiTorque motor, with a larger diameter than usual (but the same height), will drive the piston and recoil system without any issues.
The spring guide is made of steel, and its specific design allows it to be mounted with the recoil system bar.
The cylinder head is made of aluminum with a rubber impact damper.
The spring is an M120
. The piston has all-metal half-teeth. The piston itself is made of polycarbonate with a steel piston head.
Electrical System:
The replica's electrical wiring includes a 30A fuse to prevent any power surges. This will prevent damage to the motor, battery, or electrical circuit in case of a gearbox problem. In any case, this helps avoid many potential issues.
Boltcatch Function:
The replica features a functional boltcatch that holds the ejection port and dummy bolt in the open position. This allows for easy hop-up adjustment, similar to the G36. This type of hop-up is becoming common on M4s because it is simpler to adjust than the traditional three-wheeled system. The barrel is a precision 6.03mm.
Blowback and recoil Gen. K
The realism of this model isn't limited to the blowback (the movement of the dummy bolt). This replica is also equipped with a BAW (Battery Action Wave) system that generates a recoil effect. This system has been resized to fit the shorter stock tube, hence the name Gen. K (K for Kurtz - Short/Compact).
The system is similar to other BAWs, except that the spring is slightly more compressed and the counterweight is almost three times smaller. Despite these changes, the recoil effect with each shot is quite similar to larger models.
