Please note: Due to the high volume of messages/orders I get and the need to keep track of them, I use email only to communicate. I understand this may be an inconvenience, but keeping track of all the different messaging apps, phone numbers, etc isn't feasible with the volume of orders I fulfil daily. Thank you for understanding.
I'll remove this listing or mark as sold when its no longer available, so feel free to message/email me, even if its a few months old.
SureFire are known for producing some of the best and unfortunately most expensive flashlights. For most of us preowned is the only way we can justify buying one, as the price for a new one is usually around £350.
This light has seen some use, but its fully functional and given its age its in fair condition.
The X300 is perfect for those looking for a vintage, early 2000s era upgrade for a custom load-out.
Comes with a picatinny mount installed, so it wont fit on a Glock rail without modification, or you can purchase a replacement universal mount.
Batteries not included.
The latch is very strong, it took some work to remove. This is designed to be installed and left until the batteries need to be replaced.
There's a scratch on the glass, but it doesn't affect performance.
--------------- The X300 ---------------
The X300 is an early pistol light used extensively by police and military. These lights are known for being some of the most durable lights on the market, even today and have been battle tested in conflict zones around the world.
These lights are designed for use with handguns, but can also be used with rifles, with adapters for tape switches.
This line of lights have been discontinued by SureFire for some time now since being replaced by the X300U, so finding them in working order is only getting harder and harder.
--------------- Battery Safety ---------------
Battery safety is something we all take for granted, but as this is a dual-cell lithium powered light its very important to know what not to do.
If you didn't know that mixing batteries with different levels of charge or mixing brands is potentially dangerous I strongly encorage you to read this page on SureFires website. You can find here: https://www.surefire.com/product-education/battery-safety/
The TLDR is this:
Always use high quality batteries from known manufactures (SureFire, Panasonic, Duracell, Energiser, etc). If your on a budget the Amazon Basics CR123As are usually the best for price.
Buy batteries from a trusted source to avoid counterfeits.
Never mix batteries from different manufacturers.
Never use damaged batteries.
Never mix batteries with different levels of charge. Its best to use 2 new batteries and use them in the same light, until they run out.
Rechargeable batteries have different voltage to non-rechargables. Standard CR123As have 3V and most rechargeables have 3.7. Why does this matter? Most LEDs are rated for standard batteries, so for a dual cell it would be 6V. Using 2 rechargeable batteries would add up to 7.4V, way over the rating and could damage or destroy the LED.
The SureFire rechargeable batteries are 3.2V and can be used in flashlights rated for at least 6.4V. I don't know if this X300 is rated above 6V, so I wouldn't use them unless you can confirm its safe with SureFire customer service.
As said above: Don't exceed the maximum voltage of the LED. Voltage scales linearly, so 2 3V batteries are 6V. This flashlight is 6V. If you want to use the SureFire rechargeable CR123As give SureFire customer service a call (not email, they don't respond in a timely manner) and ask them, before trying it. This is an expensive light, best to play it safe.
