Hi!
For sale is a pristine-condition .22cal break-barrel air rifle. The Remington Express XP is a fantastic beginner air rifle, with a real wood stock, fully functioning safety, excellent air seal, rubber buttstock and built-in sound suppressor.
I have had this rifle for just under two years, and it has barely seen use (three or four range days max). It has had around 500 rounds through it, meaning the barrel is well on its way to being properly bedded in and as a result is wonderfully accurate out to 30 metres (I haven't tested it further). It has been kept indoors and there are no signs of corrosion on any of the components. The barrel condition is excellent.
I am selling it to pay for a new toy, and I am sure it will see much more use with a new owner!
The rifle comes complete with a BSA 'Essential' rifle scope, with a magnification power of 3-9x40. This scope is definitely on the upper-end for its price range; it holds zero as well as you would expect and has thumb-screw adjustment dials, so no need to fumble around with 10p-pieces. It includes a fast-focus eyebell and adjustable zoom. Original box and lens protectors are included. The reticle is mil-dot type.
Rather than the factory scope mounts which tend to sit the scope slightly off-center, I have fitted a pair of BKL single-strap 25mm scope mounts that 'pinch' the top rail at dead-center, and provide excellent scope stability. The whole setup will readily survive the bumps and knocks of transporting it without losing zero.
I purchased the rifle from Pellpax.co.uk and it came included with a simple rifle bag, which I am of course including in this sale. The bag is very well-padded, surprisingly high quality and is in excellent condition.
IMPORTANT - MUZZLE VELOCITY & ENERGY:
The gun is consistently firing at 568 (+/- 0.5) feet per second, tested using the Xcortech X3200 MK3 chronograph and 1.037g (16gr) ammunition. This translates to a muzzle energy of 11.46 ft.lbs, which is well below the UK legal limit of 12 ft.lbs. To comply with UK law, I will ask to see some proof-of-age upon collection to ensure you are over the age of 18 (unless you're obviously over 18, of course!).
Includes a free tin of Diabolo Field dome-headed lead pellets (16gr).
