Description
Right, up for sale is my rather stupidly nerdy custom PPS KAR98K, which has had a fair bit of time and money
The idea behind the build was to make it look and feel like a well-used WW2 Western Front-era rifle, rather than a shiny modern replica.
The wood has been completely stripped and refinished, with the stock then weathered to give it a much more authentic, aged appearance. The metalwork has also been weathered and re-blued, so the whole rifle has that worn battlefield look rather than looking factory fresh.
The good/nerdy stuff:
Custom weathered and refinished PPS KAR98K
Wood completely stripped and refinished in a Western Front-inspired finish
Metalwork weathered and re-blued
Vintage rifle scope fitted, with a reticle that looks remarkably similar to the crosshair style associated with period KAR98K optics
Real-steel KAR98K scope mounts, drill/tapped into the receiver
Upgraded inner barrel
Upgraded bucking
HPA-tapped magazines for much more consistent FPS
HPA pressure can be adjusted via the tank/regulator, with additional adjustment available through the valve in the bolt
Extended valve fitted to help provide more stable FPS
Comes with two HPA-tapped magazines
Original bucking included
Original scope mount included
Valve tool included
Rare Afrika Korps-style cloth 98K sling (reproduction)
KAR98K reference/book included — for fellow absolute nerds who enjoy knowing far too much about their rifle
I've only got a small garden, so I can't make any ridiculous claims about long-range performance.
However, shooting at 20+ metres, I'm getting roughly a 3cm x 3cm grouping, which is very promising considering the limitations of my testing area.
The HPA setup also makes the rifle incredibly consistent compared with a standard gas setup, and the FPS can be adjusted to suit your requirements.
This isn't really a rifle for someone who just wants to pick up a spring KAR98K and go skirmishing with it straight out of the box. It's much more of a proper pcollector-style airsoft build that has been put together to look the part while still being genuinely skirmishable
Collection from Worcester preferred.
I can also post it for £10 extra.
Any questions, feel free to message me.
Cheers!
