For sale here is a work in progress project that I do not have much time for at the moment. This began as a M16A2 and has now (mostly) been converted to an A4.

The rifle in the first photo is the M16A4 configuration that is is assembled with the following:

**The M5 RAS fits perfectly into the triangle handguard cap it came with but not into the DNA triangle handguard cap. The OEM M16A2 handguards with perfectly with either. Also, the plastic parts that would cover the outer barrel has fallen off and wandered away and thus there is a unusual gap in the handguards there.
**The front sight post is the OEM VFC M16A2 which has a very small amount of wobble when pinned to the DNA outer barrel, but this is only noticeable when moving the sight with force. I imagine this would be remedied with a DNA front sight post, but I am still waiting for it to arrive.
**The birdcage flash hider only works with the original outer barrel and a DNA replacement is required for the DNA barrel.
**The rifle had a consistent issue locking back on empty. I have done some investigating and completely fixed the problem by supergluing some plastic card on the top of the magazine catch lever and to the side of the bolt catch. This has increased the engagement tension of the bolt catch and eliminated nearly all wobble that caused inconsistent nozzle catch.
The VFC M16A2 Upper Receiver works perfectly and has the OEM outer barrel, inner barrel, HOP chamber and unit, outer barrel extension. The main issue is that the delta ring is badly damaged due to an unsuccessful, grueling attempt to unscrew the barrel nut. I am confident that someone with more time and tools than me can get it off!
All considered, the project has been incredibly fun and rewarding, but I unfortunately will not be able to complete it and would rather it live with someone who can!
